AFP validating alert vs terrorism from Japan

The Embassy of Japan in Manila on Tuesday confirmed that they have received information about a possible terror attack that may occur in any of the six Southeast Asian countries, including the Philippines.

The warning applies to Japanese citizens who are currently in Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Myanmar.

However, the embassy declined to provide further information at the moment.

Meanwhile, the Department of Foreign Affairs said it has not been officially informed about the matter.

The Department of Defense, meanwhile, said that it is working to validate the information, while the Armed Forces and the Philippine National Police said that no threats have been monitored in the country. (Reports from MB, GMANews, Philstar)
